Properties

Degrasan® Descaler Extra is a liquid cleaner containing hydrochloric acid, wetting agents and corrosion inhibitors. It rapidly removes limescale, urine scale and rust deposits.

Not suitable for non-ferrous metals. Descaler Extra attacks zinc, tin and aluminium.

Composition

Hydrochloric acid and inhibitors.

Application

General application concentration: 5.0–20.0%. General application temperature: cold to 40°C.

For removing deposits in boilers and steam equipment, dilute Descaler Extra at a ratio of 1:5 to 1:10. At room temperature, treatment must not exceed 24 hours. At elevated application temperatures, up to a maximum of 60°C, treatment must not exceed 12 hours.

After cleaning, rinse with clean water and neutralise using Degrasan 140. Ensure adequate ventilation.
